Creigiau Carnival

This year’s theme 'The World Cup' provided an ideal opportunity for people to let their hair down and dress up. Mind you I’m sure some need very little persuading.

Creigiau 23 Members Photograph, 1st June 2010

The Big 4-O comes to us all, however, when 23 Creigiau residents got together in late 1969, little did they know that the society they would go on to form would still be going 40 years later.

During that time, Creigiau 23 has raised thousands of pounds much of which has been ploughed back in to the village and its organisations. These include but are not limited to The Scouts, Guides and Brownies, The Church Hall, Various Play Groups, Cylch Meithrin, Creigiau Primary School, Cricket Club, Tennis Club, Allotment Society, Football Club, Golf Club Juniors and Pentyrch RFC Mini & Juniors.

Records show that there have been well over 260 villagers who have been members at some stage in their lives and indeed that number is ever growing.

CRAMC Open Day

Thanks to all that helped out during the CRAMC (Creigiau Recreation Area Management Committee ) open day on Sunday 18^th April. The event, which was held on the Recreation Field, was set up to promote the clubs and societies that use the facility. Present were representatives from the Football, Cricket, Archery, Petanque and Tennis clubs.

As a society that supports the community we were also in attendance. As well as a slide show, Creigiau 23, showed off some of the recent sports clothing/equipment that we had purchased for some of these organisations.
